Are you beating the heat with the Crazy Domestic Summer Declutter? It's easy and breezy and you can join in any time! My hot spot this week is the closet in my craft room. This is a shared space for me and my littles. I need to have some things up and out of their way and other things easily accessible for them. Today I'm going to show you how I did that. But first it was a mess.
Let me open the doors for you...
In true Summer Declutter fashion, here's what I did:
I emptied the closet and all the contents that I could (the dresser stayed put).
I sorted and tossed the supplies, papers, paints scraps and everything else - my kids helped with this part.
We grouped the supplies and art materials together.
Use zip-top bags for art supplies - easy to access and easy clean-up
craft paint in old crate - idea from Funky Junk Interiors
I put everything away in its new place.
I added another step and labeled the supplies:
labels printed on sticker sheet
years typed out in word document and printed on cardstock for photo boxes
labels printed on card stock and glued to scrapbooking paper
Want some simple, cute labels for your art and craft supply containers? Here you go.
Here's the completed craft room closet. Easy, breezy - 3 hot spots down, 1 more to go next week.
I'd love for you to come over to my little bloggy space at Clean Mama and see what I'm working on this week. See you here for next Wednesday for the last week of the Summer Declutter.
